Step 1: Get Your API Key

OpenClaw uses Claude (made by Anthropic) as its brain. You need an API key to let it think.

Go to console.anthropic.com (opens in new tab)
Sign up for an account (it's free)
Add £5-10 credit to your account (pay as you go)
Click API Keys in the sidebar
Click Create Key and copy it somewhere safe
